Tim Hamilton founded his label in 2007; just over two years later, he has risen to become a leading voice of New York American menswear’s new guard and is now reaching international acclaim. Hamilton credits his unusual biography — he was born in Iowa to a Lebanese mother and an American-English father — and extensive design background with guiding his unique design philosophy. Hamilton is not only concerned about clothes, but the energy and convictions he wants them to relay.

In menswear, Hamilton continues to blur the line between abstract design and fine craftsmanship, creating a signature streetwear-meets-tailoring look. Tim Hamilton launched his first women’s collection for fall/winter 2009, shown during Paris Fashion Week. The Tim Hamilton woman’s independent attitude is reflected through bold shapes, a minimal color palette, and an emphasis on textured patterns, all done while remaining feminine with an innate sense of elegance.

Tim Hamilton is renowned for his partnerships with creative minds in both fashion and art. His recent collaborations with Cutler and Gross, Topman, and artists Ross Bleckner and Seth Price have been featured in numerous publications.

Despite his global success, having won the CFDA Swarovski Award for Emerging Menswear Designer in 2009, Tim Hamilton is still a small, independently backed company based in New York.
